Marinate the chicken using all the ingredients mentioned for marination .

Place a pot on a high heat stove with oil.

Add 1 tbsp of ginger / garlic paste into this

Add in the Star anise, bay leaves, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon stick into this.

When golden brown; add in chopped onions and diced tomatoes

Whilst mixing add all the spices mentioned for the rice (chilli powder, coriander powder, Cumin powder, Garam Masala powder and Turmeric

Add the marinated chicken, mint leaves, coriander leaves

Close the lid and let the chicken cook in medium flame for about 10 minutes.

When the chicken is cooked add the cooked ghee rice into it.
