Is MAGGI® Noodles fried?

Your favourite Maggi Noodles are indeed fried. This helps you cook the noodles in 2 minutes at home, and also adds stability to its shelf life. Frying is a traditional method of cooking which gives better palatability and mouth feel. During the manufacturing process, MAGGI® Noodles are fried for about 1-1.5 minutes. This lowers the moisture levels in the noodles, thus stabilizing its shelf life and reducing the final cooking time to 2 minutes.

Why is Palm Oil used in manufacturing MAGGI®?

Palm oil is used for its various physical properties and composition, which impart desirable sensory characteristics and stability to the food items prepared with it. It has approximately 50% Saturated Fatty Acids, 40% Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA) and approximately 10% Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA).

Your favourite MAGGI® Noodles are made using Refined Wheat Flour. We source fresh, milled quality Wheat from all across Sri Lanka to make the dough for our noodle cakes.

Wheat Gluten is the main protein present in Wheat and is a natural component found in Wheat Flour.
